IEMTR-EM165-L

The single-phase meter with LoRaWAN in place of Wi-Fi. Same one-module body, same 100 A current transformer, same Class B accuracy, but it reports through a LoRaWAN gateway that can be a long way off, through walls and across yards, with no network of its own to manage.

What it is

The same meter, heard from further away

Wi-Fi stops at the first thick wall. LoRaWAN carries a meter reading through a building and across a site to a single gateway, which is why this variant exists. Electrically it is the IEMTR-EM165-W: one module, one 100 A CT, Class B. It needs an IESG-M52 or IESG-M52-4G within range.

  1. Measures one single-phase circuit through a solid-core or split-core 100 A CT
  2. Reports voltage, current, power, power factor, frequency and import and export energy
  3. Sends a reading over LoRaWAN every five minutes by default, to any gateway within range
  4. Keeps RS485 Modbus and an S0 pulse output as a wired fallback
  5. Holds totals in non-volatile memory through a power cut

Three single-phase LoRaWAN meters in outbuildings, each reporting to an IESG-M52 gateway in the main building, which reaches the platform through the site's IESG-R256. The lit unit is this product. No cabling and no Wi-Fi between the buildings.
Scenario 01 · spread-out sites

Meters where Wi-Fi does not reach

Farms, estates, depots and caravan parks: circuits in outbuildings hundreds of metres from the main board. LoRaWAN carries a reading through walls and across yards where Wi-Fi gives up after one.

Scenario 02 · plant rooms and basements

Through the concrete

Meters in basements, risers and plant rooms with no signal of any kind. One gateway higher in the building covers all of them, and the meters need no configuration beyond joining.

pairs with IESG-M52 behind an IESG-R250
Scenario 03 · many small points

Dozens of circuits on one gateway

Sub-metering a block of units or a row of workshops. One gateway serves all of the meters on a site, each sending a few bytes every few minutes, with no per-device network to manage.

Branding and finish

Your logo and product name on the meter label and the packaging, and your details on anything the end customer reads.

Software and firmware

Joined to the platform's network server before it ships, on the EU868 plan with the reporting interval you want, so it starts sending the moment it is powered near a gateway.

Documentation and support

Installation instructions and a CT sizing guide in your name, written for the electrician who will fit it, plus a note on where to put the antenna.
