IESG-R250

A 4G router and secure cloud gateway in one DIN-mountable unit. It brings a site online over cellular, runs the local Wi-Fi network your equipment joins, and forwards their data to the platform over an outbound encrypted link — no inbound ports, no site IT involvement.

What it is

Cellular backhaul and a secure gateway, in one box

Sites rarely arrive with usable network. This puts a 4G connection, a local Wi-Fi network and an encrypted path to the platform in a single unit, so all a site needs is power. It is the usual pairing for IEMTR-EM165-W meters, which join its Wi-Fi network and report through it.

  1. Brings the site online over 4G, with a wired connection as automatic failover
  2. Runs the on-site Wi-Fi network that your meters and sensors join
  3. Forwards their data to the platform over an outbound TLS connection
  4. Buffers locally, so a dropped cellular link does not lose readings
  5. Reports its own signal strength, data usage and health alongside the devices

The router as the centre of a site: a three-phase Wi-Fi meter on the incomer joins its Wi-Fi, an IESG-M52 LoRaWAN gateway hangs off its Ethernet port for the outbuildings, and one 4G link carries everything to the platform. The site only has to provide power.
Scenario 01 · wi-fi metering

A network for the meters

The IEMTR-EM165-W and IEMTR-EM4423-W join the router's Wi-Fi, so a board can be metered on a site with no usable network and without asking anyone for a password.

Scenario 02 · lorawan uplink

Backhaul for a LoRaWAN gateway

An IESG-M52 plugged into the LAN port gets its route to the internet from the router. That covers meters hundreds of metres away that Wi-Fi never reaches, still on one SIM and one bill.

Scenario 03 · no inbound ports

Reach the site without a public IP

Every connection is outbound over an encrypted tunnel, so there is nothing to defend and nothing for site IT to approve. Engineers reach equipment behind it through the platform, not through a port forward.
