IESG-M52-ODK

Everything needed to put an IESG-M52 or IESG-M52-4G outside: a sealed IP66 enclosure with pole and wall fixings, an external antenna on a bracket above it, the cable between the two, and a single PoE run back indoors for power and data. Range is mostly height, and this is how the gateway gets some.

What it is

The gateway outside, where it can see the site

Indoors, a LoRaWAN gateway is limited by the walls around it. Outside and a few metres up, the same gateway covers a farm, an estate or an industrial site. This kit is the enclosure, the mounting, the antenna and the cabling to do that; the gateway itself is the IESG-M52 or IESG-M52-4G.

  1. Seals the gateway in an IP66 polycarbonate enclosure rated well beyond the gateway's own limits
  2. Mounts on a pole with the supplied kit or on a wall with the supplied clips
  3. Moves the antenna outside: a 5.8 dBi fibreglass omni on a bracket above the box, connected through a bulkhead
  4. Brings power and data in on one PoE cable through a sealed gland, up to 100 m from the injector or switch
  5. Leaves a ground stud for bonding and a spare position for a lightning arrestor where the site needs one

Height is range

Farms, estates, solar parks and industrial sites where the metering points are a long way apart. An external antenna a few metres up sees further than any indoor gateway can.

Scenario 02 · thick walls

Get the antenna out of the building

Stone, steel-clad and reinforced buildings that swallow radio. The enclosure goes on the outside wall and the gateway sees the yard, the outbuildings and the neighbouring units.

Scenario 03 · one cable

Power and data on the same run

The gateway takes PoE, so one outdoor-rated Ethernet run from an injector or switch indoors carries power and data up to 100 m. No mains at the pole, no second cable.

Software and firmware

Nothing to configure in the kit itself. The gateway inside ships set up as usual, so the installer's job is mechanical: mount, connect, close the lid.

A fitting guide in your name covering height, clearance, bonding and the PoE run, and a support route back to us that your customer never sees.
